Elysium is a versatile, deeply personal bot built from a simple frustration: nothing quite fit. In 2025, after constantly searching for tools that could support my own routines, reflections, and interests without feeling clunky or disconnected, I decided to build something that actually did. The name “Elysium” is inspired by the Elysian Fields—a place of peace, rest, and fulfillment—and that energy sits at the core of everything this bot is meant to be: calm, supportive, and quietly powerful.

At its heart, Elysium is designed to live with you, not around you. Most features can be used privately within your Discord DMs, giving you a space to think, track, and grow without distraction. It’s entirely slash-command driven for now, with a full dashboard already in development to expand and refine the experience even further.
Journaling was one of the first problems I needed to solve, so it became a foundational feature. You can create, view, and manage your entries directly from your DMs, allowing you to capture thoughts as they happen without needing a separate app or system. It’s simple, accessible, and always within reach—designed to remove friction from the act of reflection.
Reminders followed closely behind. Elysium supports flexible recurring reminders—daily, weekly, and monthly—so you can stay aligned with your routines without constantly rethinking them. Whether it’s something small or something essential, the goal is consistency without overwhelm.
Habits are the structure beneath everything we build in our lives, so this feature was non-negotiable. With a few guided interactions, you can set up habits directly through buttons and modals, making the process feel intuitive instead of technical. It’s about reinforcing the patterns that actually move you forward.
Reading is another core pillar of Elysium. You can host or join buddy reads, pair with others through announcements, and even communicate with your reading partner through DM-based commands. Reading sprints allow you to track your progress in real time—logging your pages at the start and end, receiving automated reminders, and even participating in leaderboards for those who enjoy a bit of competition. There’s also a fully customizable recommendation system, allowing you to discover new books based on your preferred genres and language whenever you want.
